Trail Modification Leads to Problems

with No Comments

It is disappointing to see trail users (of any kind) modifying trails. These lands belong to all of us–not just a select few. As a reminder these natural areas are the only places for our wildlife and plants to thrive–the more we impact them, the harder it is for their survival. Further, modifications can cause damage, erosion, and make trails less safe.

Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP) is a founding member of the Safe Trails Coalition–and our collective goal is to find the balance between natural resource protection and recreational use. Please report trail modifications to the park manager and do your part to stay on trails that are approved by the park.
