It appears the Toll Road Agency will be eliminating the southern extension of the 241 to the 5 freeway from its future plans. The current plan is to build the Los Patrones option, which goes from Cow Camp Road to Avenieda La Pata behind the Prima Deshecha Landfill–but no further. Conservation groups had already reached a settlement to stop the extension through the popular state park and surfing destination at San Onofre. This new decision appears to be the result of the City of San Clemente’s concerns over the extension through its city.
