While our stay at home orders are in place, nature is finding a way. There are several sensitive bird species along the coast that are impacted by human activity and dogs on the beach. The California least tern and snowy plover are both nesting in places they’ve not had access to without human interruption. So, as the stay at home orders are lifted, watch for birds on the beach–some of them may be protecting nests.
