Some good news about San Onofre State Park. This beautiful state park property is leased from the Department of the Navy and Marine Corps in northern San Diego County. There was originally a 50 year lease for the State Park to manage the land–the agreement expires in 2021. Right now there is support for a three year extension, which hopefully allows time for a longer term extension to be crafted. This park is beloved by many.
