We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of well known activist: Lewis MacAdams. He fought for decades for the Los Angeles River.
This quote from the article articulates who he was as a person: “Walking along a stretch of the L.A. River just north of downtown, they asked it for permission to speak on its behalf, MacAdams recalled, adding: “We didn’t hear no.””
While we’ve lost another environmental hero with his passing, it is up to all of us individually and collectively to carry on. Farewell friend. May you have a better view of the river from above.
