For those of us in policy work (especially those of us working with General Plans), the release of the 2017 General Plan Guidelines by the Office of Planning and Research is a big deal. General Plans outline how a community grows, where its infrastructure will be and how big, what land uses will be allowed, where and at what intensity. For any city or county revising its General Plan right now, these should be very helpful.
