Today our consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck testified via Zoom during the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Regional Council meeting. The Council voted to approve staff’s recommendation to adopt the Plan, which included conservation of natural and farm lands as a tool to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and vehicle miles traveled. It has taken us nine years to get a policy like this formally adopted. Thanks to our 48 member coalition for your strong comments and support in this work. Now, let’s use this tool to conserve some land!
