Native Tree Policy Adopted in Brea

We are thrilled to announce that the City of Brea adopted a Native Tree Preservation Policy last night. It includes eight native tree species (such as oaks, willows, and sycamores), covers all properties within the city that are 20,000 square feet or greater and all commercially zoned properties. It requires a replacement of native trees at a specific size and at a certain replacement ratio. This policy was originally drafted for the County of Orange, but never made it out of the Planning Commission. Brea used our template as the basis for this policy. Yay!
