Freeways and sprawl development are pushing Southern California mountain lions towards extinction. Wildlife corridors are a key toward saving them.  Without adequate connections between our open spaces, cougars have few, if any options, for suitable mates. This leads to inbreeding, genetic consequences, and the decline of the species.
