We are sad to learn of Director Winterbottom’s passing. He served with our consultant Melanie Schlotterbeck on the Environmental Oversight Committee. Greg was a great asset to the Committee and to the full OCTA board. His personal experience in a wheelchair brought a much needed and important understanding of the disability community most will never experience. Greg was always inclusive (providing introductions to everyone new to the crowd), ask important questions, and advocate for what he believed in. Thanks to him and the efforts of the EOC, there are seven preserves protecting 1,300 acres and 350 acres of land being restored under the environmental mitigation program. Many thanks Greg.
