Putting more people in high fire zones comes with inherent risks and those risks must be properly evaluated before projects are granted entitlements. A Lake County judge just ruled that that risk review wasn’t properly done for a $1B resort planned–especially as it relates to evacuation. A mass evacuation ensures the community roads would be overloaded. We have similar issues here in Orange County and it is nice to see our state courts taking these risks seriously.
