Last week the California Coastal Commission approved a 230 page document that provides guidelines for how local jurisdictions and agencies should prepare for a 10 foot sea level rise by 2100. Investments to achieve these adaptations will be costly, but inaction already costs us hundreds of billions of dollars annually.
