Governor’s May Revise Hits Parks

Governor Newsom’s May revise for California’s budget guts many environmental and climate change programs to help reduce the deficit brought on by COVID-19. One of the hardest hit programs related to climate change was spending for preparedness with sea level rise and wildfires. That $4.75 billion program to make California disaster ready … is gone.

We shall see what the Legislature determines is important and how the Governor reacts to that. These are unprecedented times.
