In an interesting turn of events regarding the proposed Huntington Beach desalination project, Governor Gavin Newsom has removed a desal project critic from his seat on the Santa Ana Regional Water Board. The Board is set to consider the desal project soon. FHBP has publicly opposed the project for numerous reasons including costs, environmental harm, and need.
