The pandemic closed a lot of places, including some of our local parks for a time. This article outlines Costa Mesa’s Fairview Park and the Master Plan being created for this park property. One determination to be made is about appropriate and compatible uses. It appears that drones, gliders, and model airplanes are actually negatively impacting the wildlife. More decisions must be made and more information gathered, but the pandemic has brought to light how, when humans aren’t always present, the wildlife flourish.
