Citizens Climate Lobby and the 350 Greater SoCal Area Legislative Committee are hosting a Citizens Climate Lobby on Sunday, March 3rd from 1 – 5 PM in Santa Ana. Learn how to lobby your representatives for meaningful action to address the climate crisis. The training is open to anyone interested in engagement with government officials and staff. (Donation of $5 is suggested to help offset training costs). RSVP online.

The training will introduce volunteers to the legislative process in California: our presenters explain how a bill becomes law, demonstrate the tools used to track bills as they move through the two houses, and illustrate, with examples, the pitfalls bills face along the way. It will also cover techniques used to prepare for, set up and conduct effective meetings with elected officials and their staff. The training will mix presentation, discussion and hands on practice.
