Our friends at The Xerces Society are hosting the fourth annual Western Monarch Butterfly count. This second count during the overwintering season begins on Saturday, December 28 and runs through Sunday, January 12.

By comparing results from the Thanksgiving and New Year’s counts they can better understand how the monarch population changes throughout the overwintering season. If you want to help in the count… let us know and we can put you in touch with them!
