Pressure continues to mount at the County to remove the fence installed by a neighbor on the Newport Bay Park and Preserve. The failed land sale ended due to outraged residents and groups like Friends of Harbors, Beaches & Parks (FHBP). Both the California Coastal Commission and State Lands Commission have sent violation letters to the County on the issue.
