This is the last of the wildfire series put out by the Voice of OC. This article features the development Esperanza Hills and the fight by residents to not put people in harm’s way due to the very high fire hazard severity zone. We are co-petitioners in the lawsuits filed by Protect Our Homes and Hills. Supervisors Don Wagner and Doug Chaffee understood the risks and voted no on this project due to the lack of evacuation options and fire danger.
